IEM Vancouver Facility Receives ISO9001:2008 Certification

Fremont, CA, February, 2013 – Industrial Electric Mfg. (Canada) Inc., the Canadian facility for IEM USA, has received ISO 9001:2008 certification for its Quality Management System. IEM Canada designs and builds all of its switchgear, control systems and custom assemblies in a 44,000 square-foot facility utilizing a unique parallel manufacturing process that incorporates ISO standards in its approach.
The audit and certification was conducted by TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc., an accredited registrar that performs assessments of management systems against the requirements of national and international standards for quality.
“Achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification is an important milestone for the new IEM facility in Vancouver. This certification formally acknowledges systems we have in place and illustrates to our customers the strong commitment to quality we have at all levels of our organization,” said Doug Kristensen, Executive Vice President. “Customers want to be confident that they are doing business with an organization that can meet or exceed their needs in a timely manner. Demonstrating compliance with globally recognized quality management standards is a clear sign that we are devoted to continually improving our quality management systems.”
