ON-SITE POWER SALES ENGINEER

IEM Power Systems, located in Jacksonville, FL, is a subsidiary of Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM), North America’s largest independent full-line manufacturer of electrical distribution and power quality equipment. IEM Power Systems designs and builds innovative power systems for critical applications where continuous and reliable power is required.

Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for selling electric power generation products including generators, switchgear and control systems. In this position you will identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing a personal rapport with potential and current customers, provide product, service or engineering information to customers, establish new accounts and service existing accounts, plan and organize sales call schedule, prepare proposals and pricing development by studying blueprints, plans, bid documents, and engineering specifications, and consult with engineers to ensure final products or technical solutions meet customer expectations.

Requirements: A four year college degree in Electrical Engineering or Sales Management and 15 years’ experience in power distribution, power transmission, paralleling switchgear, substation transformers, and power relays. Extensive experience in cold calling and selling engineering solutions related to the power industry are also required. Ability to travel up to 75% and work in a fast paced environment is a must.

QUOTATIONS SPECIALIST

IEM Power Systems, located in Jacksonville, FL, is a subsidiary of Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM), North America’s largest independent full-line manufacturer of electrical distribution and power quality equipment. IEM Power Systems designs and builds innovative power systems for critical applications where continuous and reliable power is required.

You will be responsible for accurately providing technical-commercial quotations through the analysis of cost of materials and labor associated with designing, engineering and producing final custom assemblies for our LV/MV Switchgear including paralleling equipment and various control systems. Responsibilities encompass completing quotations/proposals which would include reviewing and interpreting engineered drawings and specifications, working closely with our suppliers and interacting regularly with our sales, engineering, production and purchasing departments.

You will be part of the Inside Sales/Application Engineering team which provides the sales force with support by preparing proposals and quotes. Training will be provided on the estimating tools used to generate the quotations. Minimal travel required.

Requirements: A 4 year college degree and a 2 years of experience* with a solid knowledge of LV/MV Switchgear. Experience doing complex proposals/quotations in a factory environment is essential. Strong problem solving skills, excellent computer, communication and organizational skills are a must. Knowledge of paralleling controls and/or PLC/HMI controls is desired. Experience with Design/Build applications is a plus.
